What’s the difference between a Professional pet sitter and a hobbyist?

A Professional pet sitter is more knowledgable and well-trained in animal behavior. We are more experienced with different types of animals and understand the proper ways to handle certain dogs, cats or birds, including health and medical needs.

We are insured, bonded, and certified, which means your pets are in the best care possible when you are away! You never have to worry about your pets being neglected.

We are punctual, reliable, honest, caring, experienced, and knowledgeable. Our pet professionals are background checked, and we promise to do our very best, every time and provide quality services to you and your pets. We make it our priority to ensure our clients are 100% satisfied with service each and every visit!

Why Should I Use Pawfect Pet Sitter?

Your pet will remain in his or her familiar, secure environment and follow his or her customary diet and exercise routine. Your pet is not exposed to illness of other animals. Most importantly, your pet receives lots of love and personal attention while you are away, with NO black out dates! We are always available to help you with your pet sitting/dog walking needs! Our sitters are completely backed up by one of our other sitters in cases of emergency, illness or sitter vacations. Pawfect’s Pet Professionals are employees who have passed a background check and are under the bonding and liability insurance as well as Workers Compensation of Pawfect Pet & House Sitter. We are loving, dependable and trustworthy!

Will I have the same pet sitter every time?

We do like to keep consistency with the same sitters, but we will always have a backup sitter that has been introduced to your pets ahead of time in the event of emergency (flat tire, etc.), so your fur-babies will never be without care.

What do you do at each Pet Check-in?

Our pet sitting check-ins include: Feeding per your instructions, fresh water, love and play time, brushing, litter box cleaned, bird cage cleaned, medication given if needed, mail and newspaper brought in, plants watered, lights on and off, and of course, all pets are pampered each and every time, providing the “Pawfect” care! We will also provide updates with each visit including time of arrival, pictures, and updates on how our visit went.

If my pet has an “accident”, do you clean it up?
Yes, we will always make sure we clean up after any pet messes. We are very particular with maintaining a clean environment and leaving your home kept as you would expect it to be.
Can I be assured of same pet sitter each time?

We prefer to have the continuity of the same pet sitter each time. However, we will always assign a 2nd sitter who is familiar with your pets, and have done a meet and greet as backup, so you never have to worry about if your pets are cared for in an emergency situation.

Can I book my visits through my pet sitter directly?

No, All visits should be booked through our online booking system or calling (480) 296-0026. You may also email us at office@pawfectpetsitter.com. Your visits will NOT be covered under our liability insurance if you do not book through Pawfect Pet Sitter directly. You may have your sitter’s cell phone #, but please contact the office for bookings and cancellations. In the event you need to cancel your visit, please notify the office within 24 hours if possible, as there may be a cancellation fee if done last minute.

How long are your visits?

Our goal and mission of caring for all animals extend beyond “just a visit” ~ we want to provide each client and their pets with exceptional, and PAWfect care!  We never rush through our visits, and we always want to make sure your pets and the care we provide is thorough.

All of our visits are “untimed” which means we never rush through our visits and stay as long as it takes us to feed, give them fresh water, a potty break, change the kitty litter, and lots of love and playtime!

Are you insured and bonded?

YES! We do carry liability insurance, and all of our sitters are screened and background checked prior to employment.

I have never used an overnight pet sitter before; can you tell me a little bit about this service?

We offer an overnight stays on a limited availability basis from 7pm to 7 am.

Overnight pet sitting stays give you peace of mind knowing that your home is secure and your pets are getting the extra love and care they need. This is a great option if you have a pet that suffers from separation anxiety. If your pets are used to sleeping in your bed with you, we are happy to have them sleep in the bed with us too!  We are able to add additional pet check ins as needed for potty breaks and other needs throughout the day aside from our 7pm-7am overnight stay.

All sitters are screened prior to employment.

Will I receive a refund if I leave later than expected or return early?

No, there will be no refunds, but we will gladly credit your account for
future visits.

Do you work Holidays?
Absolutely! We work on all U.S. Holidays, so you can enjoy time with your family and friends. We are always here for your pet sitting needs, so leave the walks, feeding, litter box scooping, and play time to us! There is a Holiday fee for the following Holidays: On Thanksgiving (including Black Friday), Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day, Memorial Day Weekend & Independence Day, and Labor Day there will be an additional $10 per visit for check-ins and $15 per day on Holidays for boarding.
How are keys handled?

We require a lockbox with a key on the property ~ this ensures that our sitters have access to care for your fur-babies even if your main sitter assigned has an emergency that prevents them from arriving to care for your pets (illness, flat tire, etc.) we will always be there anytime they need us!

What does being DOUBLE Pet CPR certified mean?

All of our pet sitters and dog walkers go through an extensive training on dog & cat behavior, how to handle emergencies if one should arise, and the very basics of the care and safety of your fur-babies. We take training very seriously, and make sure each sitter is equipped with the knowledge and skills needed as a professional pet sitter and dog walker.

What can I expect when boarding my dog?

Our dog boarding is unlike large kennels with dogs cooped up for most of the day. At Amber’s home, your pup will enjoy their own mini vacation in the comfort of a home setting, free to roam the downstairs living area with lots of open space and a large backyard with synthetic grass for them to run around and play in!

Doggy Doors? We do not have a doggy door, we let them out as needed throughout the day.

Kennel-Free Environment? If you have a puppy, even though we do have a kennel-free environment, we will kennel puppies or dogs that have any tendencies to chew on things for their safety if we should need to step out of the home for a bit and during the evening hours.

Comfort: Your pup will get lots of love, belly scratches, and playtime with other non-aggressive dogs. If your pup is shy, we have a separate area where they can relax away from the more active dogs. Our days are routine and structured so your pup knows what to expect when it’s time to eat, sleep, and play. This ensures that your pup feels less stressed and more like they would be in their own home!

Updates? You will receive regular updates, pictures and even videos of how your pup is doing and all the fun they are having.

What’s next?

1. Register online, then schedule your meet & greet. When you decide to board your pups with us, the first step is to bring your pup to Amber’s home where your dog can meet the other dogs and make sure it’s a good fit for everyone!
2. Schedule your boarding dates. Pickup is at 1 pm on the last day of service or there is an additional night’s charge.
3. Prior to dropping off your pup, please contact the office for the address after registration.
4. Text Amber when you are at least 30 minutes away prior to arrival for drop-off and pick up.

How Does Payment Work?

You will register online through your secure member’s profile, adding your method of payment on file. This is required for in-person consults and to secure your service dates. We do not accept cash payment, however gratuity for our sitters is greatly appreciated and can be given in an envelope addressed to your sitter on the kitchen counter. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express & Discover payments. Payment method on file will be charged 2-3 days prior to service start dates. *Recurring Dog Walk clients are charged at the end of each week (Fridays).

How are your pet sitters screened and trained?
Every Pawfect sitter goes through a thorough process before they ever step into your home:
  • Criminal background check – completed before their first visit, every time
  • In-person interview – we evaluate personality, animal handling experience, and professionalism before anyone joins our team
  • Hands-on training – new sitters shadow experienced team members and complete structured onboarding before going solo
  • Pet first aid & CPR – our entire team is double certified in pet first aid and CPR
  • Ongoing performance review – we monitor visit reports, client feedback, and photo quality continuously

What happens if my pet has an emergency while I'm away?
We have a clear protocol so you never have to wonder:
  1. Your sitter contacts you immediately if your pet shows any sign of illness or injury
  2. If we cannot reach you, we contact your emergency contact
  3. We transport your pet to your preferred veterinarian – or the nearest 24-hour emergency animal hospital if needed
  4. You authorize all treatment decisions – we never make medical choices without your approval unless it is a life-threatening emergency and you cannot be reached
  5. Every incident is documented in your client profile so your vet has a full picture

How do you access my home - and is it secure?
We do not use physical keys. Every client is required to provide at least two forms of entry – this protects both you and your pet.
Accepted access methods:
  • Lockbox – our preferred method, most secure and convenient
  • Door code or garage code – works perfectly and is easy to update anytime
All access information is stored in your Precise Pet Care client profile. Only your assigned sitters ever have access – it is never shared beyond your care team.
No keys. No risk of lost copies. No strangers with access to your home. ❤️
What time will my visits actually happen?
We schedule visits within designated time windows so your pets receive consistent, dependable care and are never left waiting too long.  We are able to accomodate specific times outside of our visit windows as requested.
  • Morning visits: 7:00am – 9:00am
  • Midday visits: 11:00am – 2:00pm
  • Afternoon/Evening visits: 4:00pm – 7:00pm
  • Later evening (up to 8:00pm): Available for medication visits and senior pet care – just note this in your client profile
After every check-in, you will receive a timestamped report and photo so you know exactly when your sitter was there. 🐾
Will I meet my sitter before the first visit?
Yes – every new client receives an initial meet & greet before service begins.
  • Virtual meet & greet: Complimentary – we connect online to go over your pet’s routine, care notes, and answer any questions
  • In-home meet & greet: Available for a fee – ideal if you have a pet with special needs, anxious behavior, or a complex routine
After the initial meet & greet, any additional sitter introductions or in-home meetings are available for a scheduled fee.
Either way, your sitter reviews your complete client profile before their first visit. Your pet’s care never misses a beat. ❤️
Will I always have the same sitter?
Pawfect operates as a professional team – and that is one of our biggest strengths.
You will typically have a primary sitter and a backup sitter who both know your pet, your home, and your routine. This team approach is what allows us to guarantee we will never cancel on you and provide care 24/7 booking availability, 365 days a year.
While we cannot guarantee the same sitter for every visit, we can guarantee your pets will always receive the same high standard of Pawfect care – from a team that knows them. That is something no solo sitter or app-based service can offer. ❤️🐾
What are your holiday rates and additional fees?
We believe pricing should be clear – no surprises.
  • Meet & greet: Available as a scheduled service – contact us for current pricing
  • Holiday rate: An additional fee applies on major holidays – New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve. We communicate this clearly before your service begins.
  • Multiple pets: Our standard rates cover up to 4 pets per household. For households with 5 or more pets, an additional per-pet fee applies.
  • Cancellations: We do not charge cancellation fees – ever. Any cancelled visits are credited back to your account automatically and never expire.
